Engage parents through outreach and partnerships with family support programs
Residents stressed the importance of parents being involved in their children’s development and education from an early age in order to enable success later on in life. Resources to support the whole family are also critical in successful student development.
The Asbury Park School District runs a parent center adjacent to Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, which offers workshops, literacy training, and other programs aimed at enriching the lives and careers of APSD parents.
