Develop financial assistance programs and loan products to assist residents in improving their homes

According to the needs assessment, many homeowners struggle to afford to make improvements or standard upkeep on their homes. Small grants and loans can help residents jumpstart needed projects, improving the quality of residential streets in the neighborhood.

Coastal Habitat for Humanity will soon be launching a new program called “Love Your Neighbor” that offers homeowners a small grant to improve their home. The home improvement becomes an event involving interested volunteers on their block, and other minor block improvements will be made at the same time. The program will improve quality of life for all residents on the block while developing neighbor connections.
