Rehabilitate qualifying affordable single family homes in the West Side with RCA funds through a targeted strategy

The City of Asbury Park has access to funds from the State Regional Contributions Agreement (RCA) policy, which assists municipalities in developing and preserving affordable housing. For homeowners who qualify, funds are used to carry out substantial rehabilitation projects on existing homes. The funds also require that the home then be placed under an affordability covenant, ensuring it stays affordable for a minimum of 5 years.

The City of Asbury Park will work to re-brand the program into a more easily recognizable home repair program, conduct targeted outreach to homeowners, and work closely with non-profits who offer similar programs to match residents with the program that best suits their needs.
